Our Matcha is organically grown with love in Japan and it is grown using traditional Japanese techniques to produce the finest quality matcha powder.
This Matcha keeps its mellow taste and bright green colour, even if used for baked food. The bright colour and mellow taste of Matcha are usually weakened by heating during high-temperature baking. Therefore, high grade Matcha is not usually required for baking. However, this Matcha typically retains its mellow taste and bright green colour in baked food. This is composed with 100% Organic Matcha green tea with no additives, unlike many others available elsewhere.
In order to keep Matcha in good condition, the package is a zip lock (re-sealable) style. When closing the zip lock package, please remove the air from the package as much as possible, in order to preserve the freshness of the Matcha.
This matcha is suitable for culinary uses, such as smoothies, lattes, sweets, bakes, alcoholic beverages, and so on. You can fully ingest the healthy beneficial constituents like Catechins including Epicatechin, Epigllocatechin, Epicatechin gallate, and Epigallocatechin gallate.

What is MATCHA?
Matcha is a fine powdered green tea commonly used in sadou (the tea ceremony). The tea bushes are shaded from direct sunlight and only the young fresh green leaves are selected for Matcha. They are then steamed in the same way as for Gyokuro(玉露), and
turned into tencha(甜茶) (non-ground leaves) by drying without rolling, and finally ground in a stone mill. Its elegant aroma and concentrated sweetness make matcha a sheer pleasure to drink, and as the powder is dissolved in hot water, all of the tea's beneficial nutrients can be taken in.
